Mechanic Service Technician
We are looking for a detail-oriented, can-do attitude, experienced Mechanic/Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on ATV’s, UTV’s, snowmobiles, heavy duty equipment and engines for our company.
Our Mechanic/Service Technician performs a variety of activities designed to service, repair and maintain both company and customer-owned items to include the completion of routine vehicle inspections, performing preventive and emergency repair maintenance, correcting vehicle/engine deficiencies, making adjustments and alignments, rebuilding, troubleshooting, installing upgraded parts and accessories, collecting pertinent information from the customer and maintaining appropriate mechanical records.

Responsibilities:
· Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts
· Service, repair and maintain a variety of equipment such as tractors, backhoes, excavating equipment, dump trucks, trailers, general automotive and diesel engines
· Maintain record of equipment/products repaired or serviced
· Adjust, repair or replace defective equipment parts, components, or systems with the use of both manual and power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, jacks, hoists, welding equipment
· Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure work meets the manufacturers/managers specifications
· Analyze malfunctions in electrical systems using a variety of electronic measuring instruments such as tachometers, dynamometers, ohmmeters, ammeters and voltmeters
· Maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance on all equipment providing for lubrication, replacement of tires and necessary tune ups
· Conduct system calibration of modern equipment through the use of diagnostic computers
· Install UTV, ATV and Snowmobile accessories and upgrades
· Assemble UTV, ATV, Snowmobiles per manufacturer specifications
· Complete required service/product certification trainings
· Install aftermarket/upgraded parts and accessories
· Rebuild and repair UTV/ATV/Snowmobile engines
· Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting and inspecting machines
· Perform quality control inspections prior to returning machine to the customer
· Assist other mechanics with assignments and perform other related work as needed
· Maintain organized workspace and respect tools provided
Education & Experience
· High School diploma or GED
· Possession of a valid Driver’s License
· Previous experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy diesel equipment
· Previous experience as an ATV/UTV mechanic
· Previous work experience in a mechanical work environment
Knowledge & Qualifications
· Knowledge of the parts and components of complex machinery and engines, and appropriate tools used to fix them
· Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems
· Capable of operating electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs
· Thorough knowledge of the construction, design, assembly and maintenance of a wide variety of heavy-duty equipment
· Considerable knowledge of tools and equipment needed for the overhaul, repair and maintenance of general automotive, ATV/UTV and Snowmobile equipment
· Considerable knowledge and a high degree of skill in evaluation and diagnosis of issues reported
· Ability to keep timely records of repairs, time and parts used for the servicing of equipment; make related reports and accurate work orders
· Ability to follow detailed instructions and take direction
· Technical/mechanical abilities proficient in areas of electrical systems, hydraulics, fuel and brake lines - to include wiring and reading technical documentation
· Familiarity with products sold by dealership are considered a plus but not required
Physical Ability Requirements
· Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and occasionally sit, reach with hand and arms and climb or balance
· Possess adequate physical strength to move or manipulate heavy items
· Must be able to work on your feet (stand or walk) for entire assigned work shift
· Driving motor vehicles, ATV/UTV’s and heavy equipment will occasionally be required
Work Environment
· The noise level in the work environment tends to often be loud
· Work is frequently performed inside our shop and occasionally around hazardous machinery
· Occasionally will be exposed to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts and vibration
· Exposure to fumes and chemicals, those common with a mechanic shop environment

Wages
Wages range from $19.00 - $26.00/hr. *this rate is subject to increase based on level of experience*
